I’ll Take Those Odds

Recently there have been some incidents of Arizona peace officers having difficulty with job parameters . . .

and by difficulty I mean in disregard of and by job parameters I mean sanctioned and appropriate behavior.

So, in an attempt to counter my pessimistic state of being, here are four criminal justice system successes.

"The acid test of any legal system is not the greatness or the grandeur of its ideal concepts, but whether, in fact, it is able to produce order and justice." Lee Kuan Yew

"Every society gets the kind of criminal it deserves. What is equally true is that every community gets the kind of law enforcement it insists on." Robert Kennedy

"The reason I don’t worry about society is, nineteen people knocked down two buildings and killed thousands. Hundreds of people ran into those buildings to save them. I’ll take those odds every f*cking day." Jon Stewart

The little girl asked the cop about his belt . . .

so he sat down at her table and showed her all the gadgets on his utility belt.
