A Triple Threat

If you don't know what a triple threat is, you obviously don't come from theater folks.  A triple threat is someone who can sing, act and dance.  I meandered across a video with clips of actors who were also good dancers.

One actor was a complete surprise.  At least to me. You are probably more choreographically savvy than I am, so see if you come up with the name!

It's not Channing Tatum.

"I don't need to be made to look evil.  I can do that on my own."
He generally plays super villains but occasionally he is cast in a comedy.

It's not Kevin Bacon.

"I'd love to do a character with a wife, a nice little house, a couple if kids, a dog, maybe a bit of singing and no guns and no killing, but nobody offers me those kinds of parts."
His first film performance was in 1968 and he was second in line to play Han Solo in Star Wars.

It's not Hugh Jackman

"At its best, life is completely unpredictable."
He’s made several cameo appearances including an appearance in a Madonna video, “Bad Girls.” He tries to do at least one dance move in most of the movie he is in.

It's not Will Smith

"To be honest, I was never very ambitious.  And I still am not."
He really admired Gene Kelly and started his own stage career as a dancer.
His first steady gig was touring in the chorus line for Westside Story.
He won an Academy Award in 1978.

It's not Patrick Swayze

"There probably aren't a lot of actors my age who tap dance."
He will be 70 in a couple of weeks.
A few years ago, he was the solo star in a popular music video.
He danced with John Travolta, while John was wearing a dress.

So obviously,
John Travolta is not the actor were are looking for.

Side story! When Princess Di came to DC to meet the Reagans, she was really excited to dance with Travolta.  Nancy Reagan was aware if this and she opened the dance by requesting John dance with her.

So you know who it is, right?

He is responsible for one of the best traditions on
Inside the Actor’s Studio.
And check out the moves by Mr. Spacey and Ms. Streep.

If you are still hanging in there with me, here is Walken in a little risqué burlesque.

And some very silly puns:

So were you surprised or is this a bit of trivia that is common knowledge?

I love him in that music video, he is so serious and collected but is awesome at dancing- even though some is t.v. Tricks. J
