Boots on the Ground

A few more reasons why the US
should NOT increase involvement in the Middle East.
"No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair."

George S Patton
“Death is a challenge. It tells us not to waste time...
It tells us to tell each other right now that we love each other.”
Leo F. Buscaglia
“Sometime they'll give a war and nobody will come.”
Carl Sandburg
“We, the willing, led by the unknowing,
are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.
We have now done so much for so long with so little,
we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.”
"You can make children believe whatever you want,
and the children of today are the soldiers and mothers of tomorrow."
Dudley Nichols
"These soldiers deserve a better defense secretary
than the one we have."
Bill Kristol

“There is no victory at bargain basement prices.”
Dwight D. Eisenhower
“No other country in history ever sent mothers of toddlers
off to fight enemy soldiers until the United States.”
Phyllis Schlafly
"One of the lessons learned during the Vietnam War
was that the depiction of wounded soldiers,
of coffins stacked higher than the living guards,
hand a negative effect on the viewing public.
The military in Iraq
specifically banned the photography of wounded soldiers and coffins,
thus sanitizing this terrible and bloody conflict."
Walter Dean Myers
"There's a financial cost,
but the only cost that are ever real are the costs of our soldiers."
Michael Ignatieff
