The Geekery of DNA
This post started with a terrific photo.
It is such a mirror of my kids. Both participants are oblivious to the issue. “What? Nothing to see here. Just move on.” The tragedy is my mind immediately poses the question, what is it about mammalian DNA that results in such behavior between siblings? Then I want to present evolutionary postulations of the genetic value of sibling rivalry. Really!?! THAT is where my mind goes? No wonder I wasn’t popular. Here is an attempt at redemption. (And a presentation of “anecdotal evidence” supporting across species engagement in identified behavior.)
