Polyester, Foam and Duct Tape
What do these things have in common?
A Pillow Case
Duct Tape
Foam
Baggage Claim
At the San Diego Airport
Polyester Fabric from the 70's
First Hint: My mom hates throwing things away, especially fabric, so she had a huge stash of ugly-patterned polyester. Second Hint: She sewed covers for foam pads that we used for sleeping on the deck. Third Hint: When I lived in California, my family came out to visit. Last Hint: We walked to the baggage claim and my mom had taken the polyester covered pads, wrapped them around pillowcases full of stuff and duct taped the whole roll-thing together. Who says my family doesn’t have class?
