The Keiki Hale School
I thought about getting my kids into a private school when we lived on Oahu. I told my friends at work that I had applied to the Keiki Hale School (the children’s house.) They started laughing. I pronounced it the Keiki Haole School meaning the School for White Children. One of them said, “Considering the price, that actually isn’t too far off base.”
