Cross Sea

A cross sea is an area where two wave systems cross each other at an angle. Waves making geometric patterns can be caused by opposing winds or by opposing swells.

I can't maintain my balance or navigate on a non-undulating surface, even with a GPS and where there is no chance of being devoured by the Kraken. So, if it were up to my sense of adventure, civilization would have ended at the shore and we would still be in the bronze age.
