Depakote Sprinkles

Depakote comes in sprinkles! Not kidding! Depakote is a medication used to treat epilepsy, bipolar mania, prevent migraine headaches, and manage schizophrenia and major depression. However, I’m familiar with it because it is used off-label (not an FDA approved use) for controlling behavioral disturbances in dementia patients.
So, for the folks resistant to taking meds, a little shake in a yummy treat and you will feel much, much better. For what it’s worth, I think every medication should come in sprinkles. You could top a cake with several things and then see how it works out for the guests.
Side effects of Depakote may include; liver damage, uncontrollable eye movements, blistering, peeling or loosening of the skin, tremors, worsening of mood and thoughts or actions of suicide or dying. But, by gum, those elderly will be sitting there, behaving, loose, peeling skin and all!
