When we lived in Virginia, the two little girls were three and four years old.  They went to a cute little church run preschool.  One day I got a blank stack of watercolor papers.  They explained that the three year old wouldn’t put on the painting smock.  I asked her if she wanted to paint and in three year old speak, I got the story that she had some interest in painting but not bad enough to put on the “BIG, DUMB THING!” Her attitude hasn’t changed much and if it involves a big, dumb thing, which it usually does, then she isn’t doing it.

One day there was less than an inch of snow on the road.  Everything in the city shut down.  It was pajama day at school and she was so disappointed.
